This is the Icron Rover
remote unit mounted in my attic. The green
cable is standard cat5e from my study (a direct run, as it wouldn't
work through a switch or hub). The black cable is the USB lead to the
camera. This part of the attic is uninsulated, so temperatures probably
range from -10 degrees C to over 40 degrees C; humidity would also
range widely. The system has worked flawlessly in these conditions for
a couple of years now.
